Laboratory of OOO Afalina

The Afalina laboratory is equipped with a 24-channel photovoltaic system MFS-8 (QUANT) and a modified quartz spectrograph ISP-30 (LINE) with a block of photodiode arrays. This equipment, as well as the presence of a large number of standard samples of aluminum, copper, steel groups, allows you to analyze a wide range of alloys.

The analytical laboratory performs the following types of analytical control:

• control of raw materials supplied to AFALINA LLC;
• control of process samples;
• control of finished products;
• intralaboratory operational control.

The enterprise carries out radiation monitoring of incoming raw materials at the entrance gates by measuring the excess of the radiation level over the natural background with Pripyat radiometers-dosimeters, which, according to TU88 Ukrainian SSR 245.006-89, are periodically verified to control the accuracy of the measured values. This makes it possible to guarantee the radiation safety of the products manufactured by the enterprise.

The laboratory monitors the gas saturation of the melted alloys by measuring the porosity of microsections of the ingots templates according to the method described in GOST 1583-93.

The laboratory makes measurements of the Brinell hardness of piston blanks of various grades, melted by the enterprise.

For additional quality control of the smelted metal, the laboratory monitors the condition of the filter mesh after casting and the result of the check is entered in the smelting passport.

The quality management system of the enterprise, the structural unit of which is the laboratory, is certified by the London Bureau Veritas Quality International, which is a subsidiary of the French classification society BUREAU VERITAS and in the UkrSEPRO system (the National Certification Body of Ukraine) in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001 : 2000. Compliance of the certified quality management system with the requirements of the specified standard is carried out through technical supervision, the frequency and procedure of which are regulated by the program. The high reliability of the analyzes carried out by the laboratory is confirmed by the accreditation certificate of the Ministry of Industrial Policy (certificate No. 06544-5-2-5KMS dated 20.05.2005) and the accreditation certificate in the UkrSEPRO system No. 5.001.003 dated 05.02.2002
